USAGE NOTE
Feminine nouns that begin with a stressed "a-" or "ha-" sound in Spanish use the articles "el" and “un” in the singular.
el área de estacionamiento()
A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g., la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
a. parking lot
Deja el auto en el valet. El área de estacionamiento está lejos y no quiero caminar.Leave the car with the valet. The parking lot is far and I don't want to walk.
a. parking space
Alguien está en tu área de estacionamiento. Se parece al auto de la novia del vecino.Someone took your parking space. It looks like the neighbor's girlfriend's car.
